Visiting California 2011 Lake Rockwell

In the center of the community, right next to the clubhouse is Lake Rockwell, an artificial lake for catch-and-release fishing or just to hang out. In the center of the lake are three large fountains.

There are not very many waterbodies in the Central Valley and the birds find out fast if there is a new one. So, our little lake doesn't only host fish but also ducks, an egret and even an occasional comoran:

Just don't forget: Until just 70 years ago, all this was desert!
