On October 31, 1517, a young Augustinian Monk named Martin Luther posted a paper called Ninety-Five Theses on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences at the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg. What was meant to spark a theological discussion amongst scholars instead jumpstarted one of the most influential and most violent revolutions in human history: the Protestant Reformation. What was originally just a parchment is now engraved in metal and permanently posted at the door.

Shortly before our visit, the church sustaine severe damage in a rain storm. It was still under reconstruction and not yet open to the public. So, all we could do was walk around it and take some pictures.
