The World's First Nuclear Power Plant

Driving through the Potato State, we came across an interesting National Historic Landmark.

On December 21, 1951, Experimental Breeder Reactor-I, became the world's first nuclear reactor to produce surplus energy:
it powered – yes – four light bulbs! The plant was decommissioned in 1964 and is now a museum.
