Vacation 2016

Franconia - Brandenburg - Berlin

In September of 2016, Volker went on a trip to Germany, this time without Judy.

The flight to Berlin had a layover in Newark, NJ, on the way back, I changed planes in Frankfurt, Germany.

Being on strict order to do all the things Judy wouldn't want to do, the trip included a lot of castles and towers and about 45 miles of hiking and walking.

First, I visited Julia and Kay in their new hometown Coburg in Franconia - from their, Julia took me to Bamberg and Nuremberg.

Back in Potsdam, I spend a lot of time with my family and took a couple of day trips to Berlin. We also took a short trip to Ilsenburg and I caught up on a number of smaller castles in Potsdam.

We couldn't put all our pictures online, but the best 1,047 of them you can find on the following 35 pages.
