Home Towns Woodbridge, California

In the 1960s, architect, developer and casino owner Delbert E. Webb started designing communities for people who have reached the better half of their lives. Today, there are 50 Del Webb communities in 20 states. The Woodbridge community at the north edge of Manteca was developed in 2006. By now, it is about 30% done with about 500 houses built so far. In addition to a beautiful, clean and safe neighborhood, Woodbridge offers a baseball field, a golf putting course, a tennis court, a clubhouse with gym and swimming pool and a lot more for an active lifestyle.

We first put everything we had about our new neighborhood onto one site, but we soon realized that there is so much more we want to show you. We are still discovering all the things Woodbridge has to offer. This particular site will only cover the gates to Woodbridge, but at the bottom is a table with links to all our other site.

Woodbridge Fountain At the main entrance, there is a fountain group, greeting visitors and residents.

Del Webb Boulevard This is the street leading into Woodbridge.

This part looks a little bit like East Berlin in the bad old days ... ...but thank goodness, this wall is permeable!

Now, here is something interesting: the latest Google Earth picture of the area still dates back to 2006, when all of this was still almond orchards and alfalfa fields. However, one can superimpose today's map onto the picture, resulting in an interesting then-and-now picture.
