The Charioteer

Auriga is the second largest of the officially recognized constellations and the largest constellation in the northern hemisphere.

Its name is Latin for 'charioteer.'

Auriga's brightest star Capella (α Aur) is one of the six stars forming the Winter Hexagon.

Most diagrams of Auriga include Elnath (β Tauri) at the southern tip of the constellation. Auriga in the Night Sky
