Auriga is the second largest of the officially recognized constellations and the
largest constellation in the northern hemisphere.
![]() Its name is Latin for 'charioteer.' ![]() Auriga's brightest star Capella (α Aur) is one of the six stars forming the Winter Hexagon. ![]() Most diagrams of Auriga include Elnath (β Tauri) at the southern tip of the constellation. |
