Capricornus

The Sea Goat

Capricornus is the smallest constellations of the Zodiac. Its name is Latin for "horned goat."

It is commonly represented in the form of a sea goat: a mythical creature that is half goat, half fish.

Capricornus is one of the 48 original Ptolemaic Constellations.

It is a faint constellation, the brightest star is Deneb Algedi, which is Arabic for "Tail of the Goat."
