Virgo is the largest constellation of the
Zodiac and (after
Hydra) the second-largest constellation in the sky. virgo is one of the 48 original Ptolemaic Constellations and has been know as a constellation even prior to Greek mythology. Its main star Spica (α Vir) is one of the 20 brightest stars in the night sky. |
